Them Crooked Vultures

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Them Crooked Vultures is a new supergroup that consists of Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) playing drums,Josh Homme (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age) handling vocal and guitar duties, and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on bass and keys. They played their live gig at Chicago's Metro on Sunday to a sold out crowd.

The group was first rumored back in 2005 when Dave Grohl spoke to Mojo magazine that "the next project that I'm trying to initiate involves me on drums, [Queens of the Stone Age's] Josh Homme on guitar, and [Led Zeppelin's] John Paul Jones playing bass. That's the next album. That wouldn’t suck."

Since that time, only rumors and speculation would persist until early August when their website officially appeared.

Their debut album is expected to be released in the coming months. Official details concerning their album and a tour have yet to be revealed.
